Violet Love

As January comes to an end, and the stores fill up with new lines of Spring collections, I can't help but daydream about what type of spring and summer outfits I will be putting together. I think most people who have been following me over the past year or two know that I've had my share of winter months, so I'm extremely excited to enjoy the coming spring and summer months!!

I recently came across a line of headbands (and some other goodies) by VIOLET LOVE that I will for sure be piecing together with my everyday attire. I'm somewhat a hippy at heart, so headbands have always been an easy, boho chic go-to for me.

Check them out at:

i bring the party

Oh my god. What a fun, crazy, exciting way to ring in my
30th year on this planet. That's all, the pics explain enough. xoxo
(If anyone wants me to plan there next big event, hit me up!)

(Yesterday's thoughts)
Today is going to be amazing. I woke up feeling a little more lively than normal, a little more loved than the average day, and a little more collected and composed. I'm starting my morning with a cup of coffee, watching the sunrise, reminiscing through photos of the past 30 years. Just one happy girl!

It's never goodbye.

Dear 2011, What a year! A year of new experiences, new faces, and new places. But you were also a year of learning, growing, and realizing. I must admit, I used you a little bit. Not intentionally (is it ever intentional?), but I used you as a year to enjoy my youth, spontaneity, carelessness, and free spirit - knowing that 2012 was going to bring much needed responsibility, stability, and maturity. You were very special to me, with so many great memories that will forever be cherished. First and foremost,  I ended my relationship with yet another state of residency, Utah, and adopted MD as my home, yet again. And Maryland is where I will stay. We also did Hawaii, Sundance, Tahoe, a best friends wedding, cross country road trip, more L.A, lots of Key West (as usual), mountain biking, snowboarding, golfing, boating, surfing, paddle boarding, and some! I must say though, I'm looking forward to 2012 a bit. I'm feeling a bit older, a bit wiser and ready to start this year with a new outlook. Focus on work, spend time with my amazing family, do some traveling (ofcourse), and who knows...maybe even fall in love (who is this girl?!).  2011, you were a stellar year. One that def tops the charts and you will desperately be missed, but this girl has some big things in store for 2012. Thank you, 2011, for all the good times. Welcome 2012!
Cheers

ps. i'll always be a free spirit <3

power duos

I love duo's - really makes me miss my closest gal pal who's still livin' it up out in Park City - Ms. Jennifer Lewis. We spent countless hours playing dress up, blogging, photographing, behind the camera, in front of the camera, on the streets...even threw in some wine or vodka from time to time.

1940s themed wedding

It seems like vintage themed weddings and parties are the way to go lately! A few weekends ago, I headed back to my old stomping grounds in Key West to be a part of my friend, Jessica's, wedding. Thought I'd share some of the pics I captured for anyone out there looking for some 1940's inspiration! Everything was beautiful and soooo creative!

A month gone by...

Time to update everyone on what the heck has happened in my life the past month! For one, a lot of big changes, GREAT changes....and two, it freakin flew by! I'm now back on the east coast getting settled in and finding my routine with the new j.o.b. I'm living out in the county, which is a new change of pace from the Baltimore city life which I know very well. Being back close to home is rather humbling. I had a lot of glitz and glam the past few years and now it's time to get back to my roots and focus on what really matters - which to me is family, friends and work. I'm pretty stoked for the holiday season - always my favorite time of year! My blog has definitely taken the back burner to work and play, but hopefully I can squeeze some stuff in here and there! Not quite as much free time on the "fast paced" east coast as I had on the west. Constantly go, go, go. Stay tuned...

small world

The last two weeks have been a little nuts - lots of goodbyes, lots of hellos, lots of parties, lots of changes (as usual), and lots to do before I'm even close to getting settled back in Baltimore.
